In this world of censorship on social media, a lot of times your opinions and posts can be filtered out by the algorithm. The companies have control over what people on the app see. With your own website, you are your own boss. You choose what goes on your website, and you can say whatever you would like on it. There are no limits to what you can do with a website, and having one can put you in a powerful position. (In my opinion)
